However drinking a lot of water at one time can backfire and actually make you gain weight. You will gain more weight thanks to dehydration.

The extra pounds that i gain from drinking water are called water weight. Usually in a 24 hour period you will cycle through this process of gaining water. Too little water can lead to dehydration. But that doesn t make it any less annoying.

Water weight isn t as real as weight from muscles and fat but it does exist and there are health choices you can make to keep it at bay look there s no way you re going to. Additionally water helps to decrease your appetite so it helps you to not overeat. And to maintain your metabolism and other body functions it is important to keep yourself hydrated. You hop on the scale and bam. Drinking much water helps in reducing weight by reducing the amount of food consumed.

The easy answer is yes drinking water does affect weight significantly enough to be seen on a scale immediately.
