It is always advisable to sleep with your walking boot on. Well it s a little late tonight. Yes you are supposed to keep it on for the majority of the time ie just take off for bathing and exercises as per physio. Your goal is to keep both hips level so you don t feel like you are forced to limp when you walk.

I am assuming it is the same as a walking boot. But if i were you i would wear it until you can actually speak to your doc. Therefore you should probably not be improperly aligning it when your sleeping like twisting or setting off to the side.

If it becomes uncomfortable in the night then consider loosening the straps for optimum comfort and surround your injured leg with pillows or use the foam leg elevator cushion for extra support. Having had a broken ankle and now operated on ankle and boots both times stick leg on pillow lengthways up your leg including behind knee for support. The boot can be used for broken bones tendon injuries severe sprains or shin splints. You do not want to take off the walking boot and risk reinjury.
