Is A Convection Oven The Same As An Air Fryer
Olivia Luz
You can use a convection oven as an air fryer because an air fryer is simply a smaller convection oven.
A convection oven uses heat more efficiently than an air fryer as it requires a shorter cooking time. A convection oven will pretty much have to live on your countertop full time whereas an air fryer can go in a cupboard when you re not using it although because of its height it might not fit in every cupboard. The countertop size allows air fryers and convection toaster ovens to heat quickly. Convection ovens are generally bigger than air fryers so they can cook more food in one shot if you re cooking for a crowd with an air fryer odds are you d need to work in batches.
However you need to know about the performance difference and outcome that you will get later. A recipe that would be cooked at 325 degrees for 45 minutes in a convection oven could take almost double the time in an air fryer saving you time energy and money. Air fryer cleanup is more difficult. With an air fryer you have the perforated basket to clean along with the bucket that it fits in.
Disadvantages of an air fryer let us make you clear of one thing. The answer to that question has to do with scale rather than function. In the air fryer the heating element is on the top while in a convection model the bottom area holds the heating element. Air fryers donâ t actually fry food but cooks it by convection.
