Yes you should be worried if your cat bites you because it will puncture your skin. A red bump sore or blister may develop where a cat has bitten or scratched you. I would think as long as you washed it out good and put some antibiotic cream on it you should be fine. I was told i could get cat scratch fever and i m kind of worried now.

Reply all you can do is make sure you keep the scracth clean and put antiseptic cream on it to kill off any bacteria etc. If a cat scratches or bites you you need to act quickly to prevent. You may experience a low grade fever under 102 f headache fatigue or poor appetite. Meaning there may be some blood and more importantly it could inject bacteria into your body that could lead to infection.
This will hurt but animal scratches and bites need to be cleaned promptly and well. Deep wounds should be covered or closed using an adhesive bandage a band aid a butterfly bandage or clean gauze dressings. There are things you can do to reduce the swelling and speed healing though.
