Plants That Do Well In Full Sun
Camila Farah
If you are a fan of carnivorous plants sundews do well in full sun as long as they re kept in a marsh like setup they are commonly found in bogs so place them on a pebble tray.
A planting location is considered to have full sun if it gets at least six hours of direct sunlight on most days. Some plants such as bearded irises can cope and even benefit with such heat. While some plants wither in direct sunlight many sun loving perennials thrive in these conditions. Diablo ninebark is a sun loving shrub whose foliage is interesting in spring summer and fall.
The foliage tends to get greener as the weather heats up. For instance rosemary is an attractive heat tolerant sun loving herb that can be grown in areas with full sun as well as containers. At the height of summer full sun can really bake plants. The blooms look so attractive and become excellent cut flowers.
During the spring and early summer it sports dark purple foliage which contrasts well next to brighter plants. Grow blanket flower in full sun and provide afternoon shade in summer in peak tropical summer to save it. And the category of plants that prefer full sun is vast. Many full sun plants are also tolerant of drought and arid conditions making them ideal for potted environments too.
