Should I Get Layers In My Hair
Olivia Luz
But if your hair is thick or very curly you should avoid cutting your hair in layers because all you ll end up doing is making your hair look bloated or poofy.
The best length for fine hair is a one length bob above the shoulders or shorter. Side swept bangs are the best. In this case adding layers can help to create a tapered effect allowing the hair to lie closer to the face. Fine hair can only support a few layers or light layering.
Get a cut that works with your natural texture. And yes u can put it in a ponytail just maybe not your bangs which u hould get some. It lays nicely and not too poofy. Kind of like a lion s mane.
I have gorgeous curls everybody tells me that and in layers they look so good even better than regular hair. With medium thickness hair the longer it is the less likely it is to hold a shape. Forget about what s in style. Layers are designed to help thin out excess thickness or help boost volume depending on the fullness and thickness of your hair.

How layers will look depends on if your hair is straight wavy or curly and if it s fine medium or thick. I have hair like that too and i layered it and it felt and looked so much better prettier and lighter and less poofy. It ll look great here are some pics of layered hair. If you have curly hair then a few long layers can add some bounce.
My first clue as to why you shouldn t get layers was how quickly my hair fell flat after i got my cut. The only negative about layers is that its harder to cut split ends from your hair since its not all one lenght. The only thing though is to tell the person who is cutting your hair for long layers if you just say layers they will give you the short ones which will have a lot of your long hair cut off. Regardless if you have fine or thick curly hair layers can be a great option.
If your hair is very straight or you have little of it then a layered cut is ideal for you since you ll end up with more volume and movement. I myself have very thick wavy hair and getting my hair in long angled layers was possibly the best thing i ve ever done. Layers may work just fine on curly hair but they re not a one size fits all solution for all hair types. Generally they enhance your curls by removing the extra weight that is pulling it down.
