Should I Wash My Hair Before Dying It Semi Permanent

What else not to do before dyeing your hair.
If you dye your hair by yourself so be sure that shampoo your hair from 12 to 24 hours before using semi permanent or demi permanent products. This will make sure the hair is clean and has retained natural oils to prevent any irritation or itching. When your scalp is squeaky clean it doesn t have any oil on the surface to protect your skin. On the plus side even with semi permanent dyes applying the color with a couple of days worth it isn t necessary to wait more than a day however.
Whenever you wash your hair the last time before dying preferably 2 3 days before the coloring session don t use any leave in conditioners. Wash 24 hours before using permanent products. You should shampoo the hair at least 24 hours in advance if you are going to use permanent products. Just go through the standard shampoo conditioner washing routine and rinse your hair well.
If you want your hair color to last a few washes use a semi permanent hair color. As a result you can burn your scalp with the chemicals in the dye and end up with unpleasant sensations. The end result is a lessening of the color intensity and or a shorter lasting color. You can simply wash the hair one day and do the color the next and get reasonable results with.
