As majority of the population are right handed the crown or winder of the watch is typically on the right. If you re right handed you wear your watch on the left hand and vice versa. You probably thought it was just as simple as slapping it on your wrist but apparently not. The idea here is pretty simple.
If you re left handed then you can wear your watch on your right hand your non dominant hand. Example for this is heart rate reading function that will only give accurate measurements if you wear the watch on your left hand. The same principal applies for smart watches and additionally it may be hard to operate the watch using your non dominant hand. For many people the combination of a larger diameter watch and a segment which further protrudes a few millimeters means that the watch is often jabbing them in the hand.
Wear your watch beside your wrist bone. Left for right handed people and right hand for lefties. Some smart watch manufacturers even suggest you should wear the watch on your left hand because of its design but also to enable its functions to work properly. The solution to this problem is simply for right handed people to wear a lefty watch on their left wrist which would be the opposite wrist from where a left handed person would normally wear a lefty watch.

The most common wrist to wear a watch on would be the left. Make sure that the face sits right next to the bone on the outside of the wrist the ulna. Watches usually appear on the non dominant arm of their owners for example right handed people wear them on their left arms. This is especially true for left handed people because in theory the same rules of practicality as wearing the watch on the left arm for a right handed people should apply to a left handed people wearing the watch on the right wrist.
