Which Wrist Do You Wear A Watch On
Olivia Luz
You probably thought it was just as simple as slapping it on your wrist but apparently not.
I believe the custom is to wear it on your left wrist if you re right handed and to wear it on your right if you re left handed. If you re left handed then you can wear your watch on your right hand your non dominant hand. It s unlikely that anyone will say anything or even notice. Generally most people will wear their watch on the left wrist because that s their non dominant hand i e most people are right handed.
Otherwise you may get funny looks or people informing you you re wearing your watch wrong. The most common wrist to wear a watch on would be the left. As majority of the population are right handed the crown or winder of the watch is typically on the right. For instance if you are going to a job interview at a traditional workplace or operate within a social circle that values heritage it may be easier for you to wear your watch on your left wrist.
While some believe that women should wear watches on their left wrist and men on their right others argue that right handed people should wear wrist watches on their left hand and vice versa irrespective of their gender. However if you often find yourself in casual settings wearing your watch on either wrist is fine. Watches can be worn on the right or left wrist but usually the dominant hand.
