Places To Visit In South Of France
Olivia Luz
Another of the south of france s many world heritage sites is bordeaux s historic quarter.
One of the more off the beaten path destinations in the south of france is sète which is a seaside fishing town about 30 kilometers from montpellier. Though the abbey was founded in the 12th century and is still the home of monks today these days it is best known for its gorgeous lavender fields. It has been referred to as little venice because of the lovely canals along the streets of this coastal town. Located near the village of gordes the sénanque abbey is an unmissable place to visit in southern france for those exploring the luberon valley.
This is a great place to enjoy some fish stew and mussels with fries. So there was a large urban remodel endowing bordeaux with many of the sights and monuments people adore today.
